Green Arrow, Vol. 2: Triple Threat by Ann Nocenti
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
I have to admit, when I first cracked this volume I just about put it down simply because of the change in artwork from the prior volume. I decided to give it a shot though, and the artwork grew on me, reminding me of Mike Grell’s work. The writing however was a different story, and it took me longer to grow to like it. Now, having finished the volume I find that I enjoyed the read, but I certainly wasn’t bowled over by brilliant writing, and the only real saving grace of the volume was the last third where it felt like the writer was finally finding a voice.
