Review: Manhunter, Vol. 4: Unleashed

Manhunter, Vol. 4: Unleashed
Manhunter, Vol. 4: Unleashed by Marc Andreyko
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ok, I have officially fallen in love with this book. The depth of character that Andreyko brings to the character is amazing, and I actually see this character as more than just a hero, but as a human being who doesn’t live a larger than life life. Now I find myself in a position of wanting to read more of the story and finding that this is the last collected volume at this point in time. Very much looking forward to the next in the series.

Review: Manhunter, Vol. 3: Origins

Manhunter, Vol. 3: Origins
Manhunter, Vol. 3: Origins by Marc Andreyko
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Now that the story is out from under the shadow of its predecessors the character is really starting to come together. There were two very cohesive story arcs in this volume, and both were enjoyable to read. The pacing was handled well, the action was appropriate, and the look into origins was much better handled than in the initial volume. All in all a very good read, and perhaps in some ways it should have been where the series started.
