Review: Superman/Batman: Night & Day

Superman/Batman: Night & Day by Michael Green
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Simply put, this one sucked. I enjoyed the first story, but the ones that followed did not capture me at all. Add in the sub-par artwork and there was nothing to hold my attention. I only hope that the next volume redeems itself from the failings of this one.

Review: Superman/Batman, Vol. 8: Finest Worlds

This one proved to be a very well put together storyline. I was not super fond of the cartoon characters segment, which is why I didn’t give this a full 5 stars, but the rest of the story arc was extremely well done. Ever wonder what Batman would do if he had Superman’s powers? Wonder no more! Very well done, and it really gave a look into the minds of the characters, more than making up for the terseness of the prior volume.

Review: Superman/Batman, Vol. 7: The Search for Kryptonite

Superman/Batman, Vol. 7: The Search for Kryptonite
Superman/Batman, Vol. 7: The Search for Kryptonite by Michael Green
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

As expected for this series this was a very well put together story arc. We got a good look at Superman and his motivations, and we got a good look at just how far he would go to ensure his safety. The weak point was the inner dialogue for Batman which basically seemed pretty contrived, which is far from normal for this series. All in all a good story though and well worth the read.
