I must admit, I am rather torn. I have a lot of time and energy invested in EVE Online, but it just doesn’t draw me in as it used to do. There is plenty to do if I do decide to log in, but I just don’t find any real desire to log in. The end result is that I haven’t been online much at all lately, often simply logging on to change skill training. I don’t really want to abandon the game, not after having invested so much in it, but I can’t see playing something that isn’t fun any longer. (more…)

A recent email exchange with Drew got me to thinking. One of my favorite pastimes is playing games on the computer. But where did that all start for me? The first computer game, not console game such as Nintendo, was Railroad Tycoon. I spent days and nights playing that game, (more…)

The question of what the names we have selected mean has come up from time over the last several days. Granted, we haven’t exactly selected common names for our children so I can see why there might be some curiosity.

Yesterday we met with the midwives at Andaluz for our regular pre-natal appointment. This time things were different. This time we knew we had twins, and we had a lot of questions. Uppermost on our minds was whether we would be able to go forward with our plans for a water birth. They were quick to allay our fears. We could still do the water birth, though due to a strange twist of state laws we are not allowed to use their facility for the birth. So, rather than using the controlled environment of Andaluz we will be setting up a birthing room in our apartment. (more…)

The pictures have arrived!

We were able to get the hospital to send us a disk with all of the images captured during the ultrasound exam, and the disk showed up in the mail today. Tiernan, the boy, cooperated quite nicely in letting us take his picture. (more…)
